The Metcal Hot Air Gun HCT-900 is a handheld convection repair tool that provides low-cost, multi-purpose repair solutions for various production and repair applications. The HCT-900 hot air gun can be used for repairing various simple or complex SMT components, as well as repairing pinhole devices such as sockets and connectors. The HCT-900 hot air gun is used in conjunction with solder strips and flame retardants to remove solder bridges and slag. The HCT-900 hot air gun can also be used in plastic materials, such as attaching shrink plastic packages to components.
The Metcal hot air gun HCT-900 is equipped with a standard single hole H-D50 nozzle, and also offers two repair nozzle kits designed for special applications, as well as a full set of nozzles to choose from. Specifically, as follows:
